TRANSPORT CORRIDORS AND ECONOMIC GROWTH: AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS FROM UZBEKISTAN AND PAKISTAN
Abstract
The goal of this paper is to explore the causal relationship between transport corridors
and economic growth in Uzbekistan and Pakistan. We investigate this relationship using Panel Data
Approach method. Using data from Uzbekistan’s and Pakistan’s economic and transport indicators over
the period 2016–2020, we found out that road is the main actor in transport corridors playing a significant
role in the development of the country’s economy. This paper could be useful for policymakers, scientists
, and students in this area.
