LEVERAGING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY DURING A PANDEMIC
Abstract
The COVID-19 outbreaks have once again demonstrated the need for digitalization in a number of areas. People were asked to maintain social distance and stay at home,
whereas service providers, doctors had to operate in health risky conditions. Governments
and companies let employees to work at home using IT technologies, schools/universities
switched from in person classes to distance learning through online educational platforms,
retailers and restaurants switched their traditional business model to delivery service, online
business model, medical examination were done by online meetings. Moreover, innovative
robots, drones were actively used. Hence, digital technology has proven to be the best solution to this kind of problem.
